The Stingers won a season-high fourth straight game thanks to the dazzling bats of Marc Flores and Nick Halamandaris. The win keeps the Stingers a game ahead of Duluth in the Northwods League North Division. The Stingers have won 10 of their last 12 games.
The Stingers pulled all the right strings to defeat the St. Cloud Rox on a sunny evening in St. Cloud. The win gives Willmar the best record in the Northwoods League.
The Stingers turned in another exceptional performance in all phases of the game. In particular, Abe Bobb limited St. Cloud to a singular run and set the standard for excellence in the first nine-inning complete game of the 2013 Northwoods League season.

WILLMAR - A local couple received A Brush With Kindness this week, thanks to Habitat for Humanity of West Central Minnesota and the Willmar Stingers.
Eight Stingers players and two coaches, along with a couple retired carpenters, spent Thursday and Friday completing exterior repairs to Gerald and Kathleen Goosmann’s home as part of Habitat’s A Brush With Kindness program.
